Welcome to December! Wow, I can't believe it! You should have received a newsletter on Monday about our December news. We are starting Unit 5 in math which is about 3-D and 2-D shapes. Also, I cannot stress enough to have your students practice their math facts regularly. They should say the answer within three seconds.
In writing we are working on a new story about a place we love. The students are really working hard already. I can't wait to see what they write!
In reading I have noticed an improvement in fluency with those students who have practiced. I continue to see areas in comprehension where students could use more help with in depth thinking.

- I was born and raised here, in Oregon. In fact, my entire family still lives here, too. My husband and I are very proud parents of our one year old son, Andrew. I have been teaching for over a decade now and am still loving it. Oh, how the years fly! I enjoy reading, scrapbooking, doing anything outside and watching Ellen when I can.
